Robert Wilson Deets, 83, of Sterling died Wednesday March 10, 2021 at CGH Medical Center in Sterling.He was born on December 30, 1937 in Sterling the son of Clarence Wilson and June Etta (Snyder) Deets. He was a 1956 graduate of Sterling High School and served in the US Army from 1956-1959. He married Marilyn Jean Warren on September 20, 1959 in Sterling. Bob had worked for many years for Farm Services (FS) in Morrison and later Lyndon. He was an active member of St. John Ev. Lutheran Church in Sterling, where he had served as an usher and past council member. Bob was an avid walker and found great joy in keeping up with his grandchildren's sporting and school activities. Survivors include his wife, Marilyn; his daughter Lisa (Larry) Judd; his sons in law Larry Boucher; his grandsons: Joshua Bartolomei , Austin Kepler, Christopher Judd (April Schmidt) (Jersey and Jaycie) and Corey (Morgan) Judd; his great grandchildren: Cason Bartolomei and Brantley Judd; his sisters: Susan (Dave) Gammon, Sheri Roberts and Sally (Gail) Schreiner. He was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter Lori Boucher in 2021; his brothers: Gail and Donald Deets and his sister Sheila Gallentine. Private family services to honor Lori and her father Bob will be held on Friday March 19, 2021 at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church in Sterling. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 703 3rd Ave, Sterling, IL 61081
