Robbie, as we called him, was my oldest nephew and made me an Aunt when I was only 8 years old. He was the first born to my older sister, Jean, and my brother-in- law, Bob Deitemeyer! I have many memories of Rob as a little boy! He was darling & always kept us laughing with the things he said. In fact, my family repeated often the many things he came up with. One time my Mom, Rob´s Grandma Stephens, was turning a corner in downtown Lincoln. She motioned an elderly lady to cross while she waited to turn. The lady was crossing right in front of them when Rob rolled down the window and yelled: "take your time lady"! Rob & I had little contact after we moved out of state! He & his brothers were part of my wedding party. About 15 years ago he began writing to me. I so appreciated re-connecting with him. I started sending him my Christmas letters along with pictures of my family. I look forward to seeing him again when the Lord calls me home!
