Robert Gordon DeLoach, age 88, of Valdosta, Georgia, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on March 9, 2026, at The Canopy at Azalea Grove. Born on November 21, 1937, he was the son of the late Ralph S. DeLoach and Melba McRae DeLoach.
Robert dedicated many years to the home construction industry and later became the owner and operator of DeLoach Mobile Homes in Valdosta. A devoted Christian, He faithfully served his church as Deacon, Elder, Clerk of Session, and Treasurer at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Valdosta.
He is lovingly remembered by his wife of 69 years, Jackie Shirah DeLoach; their son, Ashley Gordon DeLoach and wife Anna; daughter, Leslie DeLoach Mote and husband James; granddaughters Sarah Christopher and husband Ryan, and Hannah Grace DeLoach; grandsons Robbie DeLoach and wife Christy, Aaron Mote, and Joshua Mote. Robert also leaves behind several great-grandchildren, numerous nephews and nieces, and his siblings Sondra DeLoach Supp and husband Pete, and Douglas DeLoach and wife Verona.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Richard A. DeLoach and Ralph Smith “RS” DeLoach.
A graveside service to honor Robert’s life will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, March 13, 2026, at Sunset Hill Cemetery, with Pastor Scott Horne officiating. Family and friends are invited to visit from 1 to 2 p.m. at Carson McLane Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or Redeemer Presbyterian Church, 3700 Val Del Road, Valdosta, GA 31602.
