Robert Earl Denney

Robert Earl Denney, age 85, of Greenfield, passed away Monday, October 27, 2025, at Hancock Regional Hospital. He was born in Indianapolis on June 27, 1940, to Gordon and Mary (Richwine) Denney. He graduated from McCordsville High School in 1958. Robert received his Associate's degree from Indiana Business College in 1960. He married Gloria Jean (Stafford) on March 16, 1962, in Greenfield.

Robert worked for Harvester in the accounts receivable department for sixteen years, then went on to work as a credit manager for Peerless Electric for twenty-six years before retiring in 2007. He enjoyed working outside, watching westerns, working in his garage, and watching the Colts.

He is survived by his sons, Mark Denney and Michael (Heather) Denney; four grandchildren, Cory (Christina), Taylor, Kyle (Tiffany), and Colby (Sara); two great-grandchildren, Raven and Alice; cousins, Charles, Connie, and Elsie; sister-in-law, Janice Stafford; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Gloria Jean Denney; and in-laws, Ed (Dee) Stoepler and Don Stafford.

Visitation will be held on Monday, November 3, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory, 1484 W. US Hwy. 40, Greenfield, IN 46140. A funeral service will immediately follow the visitation at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Park Cemetery in Greenfield.

Family would like for everyone to wear their Colts or Steeler attire, in honor of Robert.
