Robert Diaz

Robert Diaz, 79, of Lubbock passed away peacefully on December 4, 2025, surrounded by his loved ones.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, December 13, 2025, in the Agape Funeral Chapel located at 6625 19th Street, Lubbock, Texas 79407.

Robert was born on May 26, 1946, in Lamesa, Texas where he lived most of his life. Robert worked for Lamesa Tire and Battery for over 40 years. The shop was like his second home, and all his co-workers were like family to him.

He enjoyed buying and selling old cars and loved buying lottery tickets and had to buy one at every store he went into. But the most important thing to him was his family. He was an amazing father and grandfather.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Mercedes and Ysidra Diaz; sister, Ester Martinez; and grandson, Frankie Tello.

Those left to cherish his memory are his son, Richard Diaz and wife Veronica; his daughters, Cheryl Diaz & Pauline Diaz; brother, Ernest Diaz (Janie); sister, Ernestina Billings; grandchildren, Jessica Willis (Jack), Brandi Garcia (Dale), Robert Anthony Diaz, Kassandra Garcia, Thomas Garcia, Maribel Diaz; and many great grandchildren that he loved very much.
