Robert D. "Bob" Diederich
Greece: Passed away peacefully on November 1, 2025, surrounded by his Family. Robert is pre-deceased by his parents, H. Raymond Diederich & Dorothy Diederich; brother, R. David Diederich.
He is survived by his loving daughters, Kimberly (James) Gardone & Kelly (Dan Camelio Jr.) Diederich; sister-in-law, Helene Diederich; special nieces, Alicia (Chad) Buchta & Lindsay (Michael) Rae; great-niece, McKenzie (Jordan) Pepe; great nephews, CJ Buchta, Nolan Rae, Miles Rae, Easton Pepe, & Kaiden Pepe. Many special cousins, and several dear & devoted friends.
Bob's life story will be shared during visitation, on Wednesday, November 5th from 3:00-7:00 pm at the funeral home, 1411 Vintage Lane. His funeral service will be celebrated on Thursday, November 6th at 10:00 am at Hope Church, 1301 Vintage Lane. Interment in Riverside Cemetery.
Bob will be forever remembered as a truly genuine and hardworking man. He served his community for over 40 years as a Volunteer Firefighter with the Ridge Road Fire Department and Barnard Fire Department. Holding the title of Fire Commissioner most recently for the Barnard Fire District. His commitment, compassion, and dedication to this Brother/Sisterhood was far greater than words could ever describe. This was his life's purpose. He was a true patriot in every sense of the word.
He will be forever loved and missed beyond measure. A gentle giant, a beautiful soul, a loyal friend, a family man and truly the most incredible father!
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Bob's name to the Barnard Fire Department, 3084 Dewey Avenue, Rochester, NY 14616.
