Robert Sydney Dillavou, born on February 11, 1974, in San Francisco, California, passed away on January 6, 2026, in Kirksville, Missouri. He was a beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend whose legacy will endure in the hearts of those he touched throughout his life.
Robert's zest for life was evident in his passions and pursuits. He had an adventurous spirit that drew him to travel and all things outdoors, where he found joy in exploring new horizons. An accomplished cook, Robert had a particular affinity for grilling BBQ.
He cherished the time spent with his family, making memories that will be treasured forever. Robert is survived by his sons Gavin and Reese Dillavou, his devoted mother, Janet Dillavou; his sister, Amy Figueroa; his cherished nieces, Isabel and Rebecca Palomo, along with his nephews, Carlos Palomo and Ulysses Figueroa.
Though Robert has reunited with his late father, Clayton Dillavou, and his sister, Beth Palomo, he leaves behind a family that will always remember his kindness, humor, and love for life. He loved his dog, Dolly, whose companionship brought him great joy.
Robert's spirit and presence will be profoundly missed, but his love for adventure, his culinary passions, and the moments shared with family will continue to inspire those who knew him.
