Robert "Bob" Lester Doble

Age 93 of Minnetonka, passed away December 11, 2025 at home surrounded by family. Preceded in death by parents and brother Duane. Bob grew up in East Grand Forks, MN. After graduating from High School, he spent 4 years active duty in the Navy and continued 4 years in the Navy Reserves. He married Carol (Helgeson) on June 24, 1961 and moved to Lakewood, California in 1962 where Bob was a printer throughout his career. Bob and Carol bought a lake home on Big Wolf Lake near Bemidji, MN in 1976 and spent 46 summers generously sharing their place with family and friends. Bob and Carol retired to Surprise, AZ in 1998 with a fabulous view of the golf course. Bob loved meeting people and people flocked to Bob. He was the life of every party, entertaining everyone with his gift of wit and humor, teasing everyone equally. He moved back to Minnesota to be closer to family during the last year of his life. Bob is survived by beloved wife of 64 years, Carol; brothers Lloyd and William (Billy), sister Darlene; loving nieces and nephews; and many extended family members. Bob will be laid to rest at a later date in Grand Forks, ND.
