Bob checked in on me once a month from 18years old til he passed. Just checked in with a kindred academic daughter. I never had a cookout without inviting him and Laura. I love that he´s being honored for Louisville.

I met Bob Douglas during my graduate studies at.the University of Iowa. My memories of him evolve around admiration for working on his Phd, his wonderful artwork that decorated the walls of his home, what a fun person he was to be around and how much he adored his wife, Laura. Although for a short time,I am happy to have known such a beautiful couple.
