Robert "Bobby" Drago, age 79, Army Veteran, was called home on November 10, 2024. As he did with everything else, he passed away on "Bobby-time" surrounded by his loving family and friends. He will forever be remembered by those who knew him for his giving and guiding nature, his kind soul, his ability to connect with anyone and his amazing capacity for stubbornness.
He was greeted in Heaven by his parents, Sandy and Anne; his sister and brother-in-law, Sandra and Dickie Ranells; his nephews, Christopher (Ranells), Jason and Joey (Police); his in-laws, Louie, Nancy and Joe (Police). First in line to welcome him home however, was his son Bobby, and of course, all the dogs and other stray animals he never should have fed.
Bobby leaves behind his wife of 56 years, Mary Ellen "Corky" (nee Police); his children Sandra McCarthy (Bryan), Michelle, Christian (Kristy) and Jason; his grandchildren Tyler, Riley, Abby, Elena and Charlotte; his sister Linda and brother Dave Wrona (Pat); six nieces and nephews, three great nieces and nephews and way too many friends to count or list.
Memorial Visitation to celebrate Bobby's life will be held Thursday, November 21 at THE FIORITTO FUNERAL HOME, 5236 MAYFIELD RD, LYNDHURST (E OF RICHMOND RD) FROM 4-7 PM.
In lieu of flowers, family suggests donations to American Cancer Society or Wounded Warrior Project.
In the meantime pet a dog, appreciate the old school things, play a slot machine and sleep in - it's what he would want.
