OAKVILLE - It is with great sadness and broken hearts that the family of Mr. Robert Dube age 59 of Oakville, announce his passing on Monday, May 20, 2024 at the John Dempsey Hospital of UCONN Health Center in Farmington.
Robert was born May 28th, 1964, in Hartford, CT, the son of the late Joseph James and Jeannette Simone (Adam) Dube. Robert was raised and educated in Hartford and was the long-time owner and operator of R.D. Improvements, doing general construction and roofing with his business partner and son, Jason. Robert was an avid Harley Davidson enthusiast and car collector, and he enjoyed riding his Harley and attending car shows. He was a member of the House of Prayer Church. Robert also enjoyed fishing but was always happiest spending time with his family. Robert instilled in his children a strong work ethic and the importance of family. Our family thanks you, Dad, for every prayer you uttered for us, for the many sacrifices you made for us, for the thousands of hugs you shared with us, and for the unending love you instilled in all of us.
Left to cherish Robert's legacy and honor his memory are his son, Jason Dube, and his wife, Michelle of Oakville, and their daughter, Hailey Grace Dube, as well as Jason’s mother, Karen Britto. He also leaves his girlfriend, Marilyn Lyon of Burlington, his brother, Paul Dube of Hartford, and sisters; Susan Dube Vargas of Weathersfield and Theresa Dube of East Windsor. He was predeceased by his son, Robert Dube Jr.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Robert’s family on Friday May 24, 2024 from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Casey’s Eastside Memorial Funeral Home and Cremation Care 1987 East Main St. Waterbury CT. A memorial service will be held at the House of Prayer Church at a future day and time to be announced. To honor Robert’s memory and in lieu of flowers, donations to the House of Prayer Church, 1245 Thomaston Ave, Waterbury, CT 06704, would be greatly appreciated by his family.
