J. Vincent ("Skip") Aprile II
June 12, 2024
I lived briefly in Dayton, Ohio when Bob and I were both in the 5th and part of the 6th grade at Immaculate Conception Elementary School. Bob was my best friend during that time. When I left Dayton in the middle of the 6th grade to return to my hometown in Louisville, Kentucky, Bob and I lost touch. Over the years since the advent of the Internet, I have occasionally attempted to locate Bob to no avail. Just recently when I resumed my search for Bob, I came across his obituary to my disappointment. I am sorry that Bob and I never reconnected as adults. I have fond memories of him and the brief, but special friendship we had. I see from his obituary he had a very good life, which pleases me immensely. I feel certain that as a man he embodied all those special qualities that made him such a good friend during my brief sojourn in Dayton. Rest in peace, Bob, you are still remembered by this now elderly man.
