Robert Emery Dupras Sr. January 15, 1937 – October 10, 2025

Robert Emery Dupras Sr., 88, of Summerfield, Florida, passed away peacefully at home on October 10, 2025, surrounded by family after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born in Lowell, Massachusetts, to Emery L. Dupras and Cecile M. (Tousignant) Dupras, Bob lived a life marked by dedication, generosity, and grit. He married the love of his life, Carol A. (Perkins) Dupras, on January 10, 1959, in Lowell, and together they built a family and a legacy of love that spanned decades.

Bob was the proud owner and operator of Bob's Truck Repair until his retirement in 1998. Known for his mechanical skill and tireless work ethic, he was always ready to lend a hand or fix up an old truck-often doing both well into his later years. He served in the U.S. Navy Reserve and was a member of the Tyngsboro Sportsman's Club before relocating to Florida.

Bob found joy in being the crew chief for several local race car teams in both Massachusetts and Florida. His passion for engines and racing was matched only by his loyalty to friends and family. He was a man who showed up-whether to help with a repair, offer advice, or simply share a laugh.

He is preceded in death by his beloved wife Carol A. Dupras, his parents Boyd and Cecile Dupras, his brother George Dupras, and his grandson Jonathan Dupras.

Bob is survived by his longtime companion Janice Bloom; his son Robert E. Dupras Jr.; daughters Patricia Keller & George Keller, Nancy Jarek& Peter Jarek, and Karol McBeth & Evan McBeth; his sister Margaret Thomas; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a cherished family friend, David Leo.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on November 14, 2025, at St. Mary Magdalen Church, 93 Lakeview Ave, Tyngsboro, MA 01879. Burial will follow at Tyngsboro Memorial Cemetery, 31 Fletcher Dr, Tyngsboro, MA 01879.

Memorial contributions may be made to a charitable organization of your choice in honor of Bob's generous spirit and lifelong commitment to helping others.

The family wishes to extend heartfelt thanks to the hospice team, caregivers, and friends who supported Bob and his loved ones during this time.

Reception to follow burial.
