Robert "Bob" Dziekan

Sadly, Robert "Bob" Dziekan passed away on Saturday, October 28, 2023 at the age of 80 after a short hospital stay.
As Bob would say, "Let me tell you a story..." Bob was a quick-witted, adventurous, smart, social, extremely good-looking, funny man who loved his family and friends and always had a great story to tell.
Bob was born in Chicago, IL on April 25, 1943 to Ed and Adele Dziekan. He graduated from Oconto Falls High School in 1961. He worked as an Oconto Fall Police Officer and then spent most of his career working at Olsen Trailer and Body as a welder and mechanic.
He met and married the love of his life, Judy Benser. They celebrated 55 years of marriage before she passed away in 2022. Bob loved his family and was very proud of them. They include his son, Chris Dziekan, daughter Cheri Dziekan Chapman and her husband Stephen Chapman. He also loved his pets, Rosie (dog), Willie and Daisy (cats).
He was very close to his siblings, sister, Connie (David) Posluszny, and brothers Larry (Carl), Joel and Carl (Terri), many nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Joel really helped Bob stay independent and active.
Bob had many interests and hobbies. He enjoyed spending time with his family, life-long friends, work buddies and the guys at McDonalds. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and he played softball until he was 45. He was a great cook, kept up with and loved to talk about politics and enjoyed playing cards, board games and watching Jeopardy.
There will be a memorial gathering for Bob at Pfotenhauer Funeral Home Howard – Suamico(1145 Cardinal Lane Green Bay WI, 54313) from 10am – 12pm on Friday, November 10th. Bob had a gift of telling (and retelling) stories and loved a good joke. There will be time to share memories about Bob, so please share a "Bob Story" of your own.
