Robert W. Ebert

ALAS, there will never be another host (and perpetual bon vivant) like Robert Ebert. I will never forget the first time that I met Robert at Mother's in 1982. He welcomed me with friendship that continues to embrace my sensibilities-IN PERPETUITY. I cannot think about The RAVEN without seeing Robert's welcoming smile that I can still see from above, as he perches lovingly on his silver lining cloud. May you rest in eternal peace, Brother. Robert was a special person, full of energy and a friend to all. Rest in peace my friend.

My first memory of Robert was of him coming over to our house on Stevens Road to visit his lifelong and best friend, my brother, Ronald Chanutin.

I worked with Robert at Mothers restaurant over 40 years ago. It was a blast!! If only one could capture some of those moments when New Hope was so fabulous and Robert was such an integral part of it. What a loss.
