Robert Ehrhardt Obituary

Published by Legacy on Dec. 11, 2024.
Robert Charles Ehrhardt, a beloved father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully from natural causes on December 6, 2024. He was born on July 22, 1926, in Cincinnati, Ohio, and lived a life filled with joy, laughter, and connection.
A proud veteran, Robert honorably served in the United States Navy, a commitment that reflected his deep sense of duty and patriotism. After his military service, he built a successful career as a troubleshooter in the telecommunications industry, dedicating 44 years to Cincinnati Bell. Yet, beyond his professional accomplishments, Robert was known for his vibrant personality, earning a reputation as both a talker and a jokester. He brought smiles and laughter to those around him, whether sharing a good-natured ribbing with his friends or entertaining his grandchildren with his quick wit. Robert was an avid walker, making his way to the Kenwood Mall up to six times a week, where he enjoyed meeting with his fellow "liars," a group of retirees who gathered at Starbucks to catch up and trade stories. His zest for life and friendly banter made him a cherished fixture in the community. In recognition of his positive spirit and contributions, the City of Milford awarded him a special proclamation, declaring a day in his honor as "Bob Ehrhardt Day." Member of Mildford Lodge #54 F & AM and the Syrian Shrine. He is survived by his loving children: Julia (John) Armstrong, Linda (Skip) Huson, Charles (Connie) Ehrhardt, and John Ehrhardt (Jerri Wickers). Robert leaves behind an enduring legacy through his grandchildren: Aimee, John, Tony, Sara, Ryan, and Kristi, all of whom hold fond memories of their time with him and a host of great and great grandchildren.
Family and friends are invited to gather to share stories and remember the joyful moments that made Robert such a special person. Details of the services will be announced at a later date, allowing all whose lives he touched to pay their respects and celebrate the man who brought so much laughter and love into their lives. Robert Charles Ehrhardt will be dearly missed, but his spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. Robert was preceded in death by: his mother Bertha Ehrhardt, sister Jean Bokenkotter and his wife Lois Jean Ehrhardt.
