Robert Dale Elkins Sr

Robert Dale Elkins Sr., 59, passed away on July 11, 2024, in Charleston, SC with his wife and son by his side. Born on July 10, 1965, in San Bernardino County, CA. He was a devoted husband, father, brother, and Paw-Paw.
Robert proudly served in the Navy as an MS2 from February 19, 1988, to October 11, 1995, dedicating over seven years of his life to his country. He received numerus medals, awards and recognition during his military service. Following his military service, he embarked on a successful career as a cable technician with Cox Cable and Comcast Cable, a role he cherished for more than two decades.
He earned both his bachelor's and master's degrees from the University of Phoenix, which furthered his professional and personal growth. Robert was a passionate fan of the Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies, and he relished the times spent cheering for his teams. Beyond his love for sports, he enjoyed beach outings and cherished moments with his family.
Robert is survived by his wife, Janet M. Elkins; daughters, Nicole Barnes (Daniel), Emily Elkins, Amanda Elkins and Virginia Elkins; sons, Matthew Elkins and Robert Elkins Jr; brothers, Michael Elkins (Lisa), Dwayne (Steve) Elkins (Terry), and Jesse Elkins; sister, Railynn Honeycutt (James); and nine grandchildren. He leaves behind a large extended family who will deeply miss him. He was preceded in death by his mother, Donna J Rogers and many aunts and uncles.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Heart Association in memory of Robert. His legacy of love, dedication, and joy will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
