Feuerborn Family Funeral Service - GarnettRobert "Bob" Elliott, age 78, of Welda, Kansas, passed away on Thursday, February 12, 2026, at Burlington Life Care Center.
Robert Orville Elliott was born on April 19, 1947, in Fairbury, Nebraska, the son of Orville and Dorothy (Smith) Elliott. Bob attended school in Morrowville, Kansas, graduating with the Class of 1965.
Shortly after high school, Bob was united in marriage to Sandy Chambers in August 1965. This union was blessed with two daughters, Michelle and Julie. They spent several years in Concordia, Kansas, where Bob owned and operated his own auto body shop. In 1977, Bob's career in road construction led the family to Wyoming. Following the company's projects, they lived throughout various communities in Wyoming and Colorado. During his time in Strasburg, Bob served as a volunteer firefighter, a service he was deeply proud of. In his spare time, he also enjoyed the camaraderie and competition of playing on a men's fast-pitch softball team.
In later years, Bob returned to Kansas and purchased a farm near Welda. He drove a truck for Clancy Trucking for several years until his retirement. Retirement didn't slow him down much, as he went to work for the county as a part-time mower during the summer months.
On May 8, 2017, Bob was united in marriage to Beverly in Welda, Kansas. Together, Bob and Beverly shared a love for their farm and their Registered Mini Herefords. They enjoyed the excitement of showing their cattle at the Denver Livestock Shows and continued to raise them as pets on the farm even after they finished competing.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife Beverly in 2022.
He is survived by his daughters, Michelle Miller and husband Robert, of Garnett, and their children, Alissa (Jason) Williams, Brayden (Hannah) Miller; and Julie Rockers and husband Brian, of Garnett, and their children, Jessica (Harlan) Sharon, Bailee (Seth) Hermreck, Ryelee Rockers; 5 great- grandchildren; sisters, Alice and husband Richard Percival of Hebron, Nebraska, Jean and husband Mike Applegarth of Washington, Kansas, Peggy and husband Lou Iwert of Olathe, Kansas; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
