It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Robert Joseph Ellis of St. Charles, MO on March 10th, 2025 at the age of 86. Bob was born in Bloomfield, MO on October 2, 1938. Bob was a cherished son of the late Lorin Frank Ellis and Mildred Marie Ellis King, Step-father Charles Earl King. Bob was a devoted father to Robert Lewis (Danette) Ellis and Robert Joseph Ellis Jr, and a loving grandfather to Robert James (Jessica) Ellis and Alex Jordan Ellis. Bob was a dear brother to Loren Edward Ellis, Charles Brent King, and Barb Kretschmar King. He was a treasured cousin of Jolene Hester, Sam McClard, Mary Ann Tipton, and Paulette Statler. He was a beloved uncle to Kathi R (George) Fiorenza, Sallie S (Scott) Seasor, Kristy (Justin) Scherrer, and Nick (Abby Corrigan) King as well as many great and great-great nieces and nephews.
Bob proudly and honorably served in the United States Army. Bob had a work ethic like no other. He retired from McDonnell Douglas/ Boeing after 55 years of dedicated service in their American Aerospace & Aircraft production programs.
An amazing historian and story teller, Bob loved good food, road trips, fishing, world travel with his brothers and friends, as well as time spent with family, and his beloved pets. Bob was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in Bob's name to St. Croix Hospice or the Humane Society.
