Robert Elsdon Obituary
Robert A. Elsdon, 78, of Elliston, VA, husband of Linda (Aliff) Elsdon, passed away Sunday, May 14, 2023, at Bristol Hospital. He was born July 11, 1944, in Riverside, CA, son of the late Alvin and Doris (Downs) Elsdon.
Robert proudly served in the US Army. He was employed by Red's Auto Upholstery in Terryville and Bristol. He stayed with them until he moved to Virginia where he was employed by King's Upholstery Shop. He was well known for his customized upholstery. Robert was a member of Waterville Bible Church in Connecticut until moving to Virginia where he attended Midway Baptist Church in Ironto. He loved old cars, and going to car shows on the weekends with family and best friends, Henry and Claudia Lavenski.
Besides his wife, Robert is survived by his daughter Jennifer Farmer and her husband Shon of VA; his son Robert (Bobby)A. Elsdon, Jr of VA; his brother Richard Elsdon and his wife Beth of VA; his grandsons Christopher Downing and Matthew Farmer and his girlfriend Alisha. Several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and even great-great nieces and nephews. Also, the beloved family dog Annie.
Funeral Services for Robert will be private and at the convenience of the family and will be held in Virginia. Scott Funeral Home, 169 Main St, Terryville, is assisting with the arrangements. www.scottfuneralhomeinc.com
