Robert L Emig

Robert L. Emig, 87 of Abilene passed away Monday, June 23, 2025. He was born in Carlton, Kansas April 6, 1938 the son of Harold Leroy and Edna Mae (Felbush) Emig. He grew up in the Carlton area graduated from Dickinson County Community High School, Chapman with the class of 1956. On April 6, 1958 he was united in marriage to Shirley Bauman at the New Basel Church, south of Abilene. Robert retired from ADM Alliance Nutrition after 35 years. Robert is survived by his loving wife Shirley Emig. Two daughters: Vicky Emig and Wendy Garrison and husband Ron. One son: Gary Emig. Six grandchildren: Melissa Hocker; Rachel Hocker; Shannon Young; Michelle Young; Connor Garrison; Maura Garrison. Three brothers: Phil, Keith and Elon Emig. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Don and Harold Emig. The family has chosen cremation. No services are planned at this time. The family suggests memorials be given to The Parkinson's Foundation. Memorials may be dropped off or mailed to Danner Funeral Home, 501 N. Buckeye, Abilene, Kansas 67410.
