Bob became my long-time manager and boss when I went to work for City Sanitary Service in the late 1970's and worked for him, Ezra and Fred Koch, continuing my employment when Bob bought out both Ezra and Fred and re-branded the business into Western Oregon Waste. His wife, Nancy, has remained a very close friend of mine since we met when she worked for City Sanitary for a time as their accounting manager. Unfortunately, I now live in my home state of Iowa, so distance has kept me from visiting more often than I have been able to. Their acceptance of me much like a family member will always remain special for me. Bob's willingness to help others will be greatly missed by so many friends, co-workers, and business associates. To his devoted wife, Nancy, I love you and hope we see each other soon.

I am so saddened by this and my sincerest condolences to your family. Bob was so very kind to me and I will never forget all the fun times and experiences we all shared working together for all those years. I pray God wraps you in his love and gives you comfort during this time. My heart and prayers are with you all.
