April 6th, 2025 at the age of 86Robert O'Neal Ergle, age 86, of Haleyville Alabama passed away on Sunday, April 6, 2025 at Hendrix Health and Rehabilitation.
He was born August 30, 1938 to James Owen and Zada Cleo Ergle. Robert loved his family dearly, especially his grandchildren. He was very proud of his home and could often be seen tending to his yard. Robert enjoyed his Saturdays watching the "Alabama Crimson Tide" football team and fishing.
Family will be holding a memorial service on Friday, April 18, at 1:00 p.m. at Sunny Home Baptist Church in Haleyville.
Robert is survived by his son, Joshua (Christy) Ergle, Zachary Adam (Laci) Ergle; grandchildren, Joleigh Ergle, Cooper Garner, Katelynn Watkins; sisters, Helen (Jim) Garner, Peggy Lyle; and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Ergle; daughter, Amanda Ergle; parents, James and Zada Ergle; brothers, Ted, Cleston, Dwight, William "Billy" Ergle; and sister, Evelyn Ergle.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Hendrix Health and Rehabilitation and Aveanna Hospice care.
