Mr. Robert Edward "Bob" Erwin, 88, of Elberton, passed away on Thursday, January 1, 2026, at Elbert Memorial Hospital. He was twice married, first to the late Alice Faye Beasley Erwin and second to the late Julia Louise Dixon Herndon Erwin.
He was a member of Woodlawn Methodist Church and a retired fixer from the textile industry at Glenn Raven.
He is survived by his daughters and son-in-law: Robin Milburn and Lynn and Deborah "Debbie" Rey; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents Jesse Johnson "J.J." Erwin and Ethel Asilee Suttles, his first wife Alice Faye Beasley Erwin and second wife Julia Louise Dixon Herndon Erwin and son and daughter-in-law: Michael Shane Erwin and Cynthia Lynn "Cindy" Todd Erwin.
Graveside funeral services to celebrate Bob's life will be held Thursday, January 8, 2026, at 11:00a.m. at Forest Hills Memorial Park.
