Robert E. Evered

"Bob" Robert Edward Evered 78, passed away peacefully at home on April 9, 2025. He was born July 21, 1946, in Superior, Wisconsin; the youngest child of Harold and Kathryn (Fiandt) Evered.
Bob attended Superior Cathedral Catholic School and graduated in 1964 from Superior Cathedral High School. He served six years in the Army National Guard; worked in the pressroom of the Duluth News Tribune; tended bar at the Chinese Lantern; and continued his education at the University of Wisconsin-Superior where he earned his bachelor's degree in accounting. After working for the Wisconsin Public Service Commission and getting his CPA certification, Bob worked as an accountant for SWL&P until his retirement in 2008.
Bob married Kathryn "Kathy" Yauch, on April 24, 2003, in St. Lucia. They celebrated twenty-one wonderful years of marriage before his passing.
Bob was a lifetime member of Cathedral of Christ the King Catholic Church, member of the Wisconsin Institute of CPAs for forty years, Knights of Columbus 499, Superior Curling Club, Nemadji Men's Golf Club, and the PTL "Pick the Losers" club.
In his free time, Bob enjoyed tropical beach vacations with Kathy and friends, the occasional gambling junket, playing cribbage with "the boys," fishing with his brother Chuck on the charter Nova, and indulging in fine wine and good food surrounded by friends and family.
Bob is survived by his wife, Kathy; former wife Carole and their children, Kathryn "Katie" (Garrett Crance) Evered, and Brian Evered; sons Eddie and Eric (Kathy) La Blanc and their mother Linda; and other extended family and friends. Bob will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents; sister Beverly Jean Vermulen; brothers William "Bill," John "Jack," and Charles "Chuck."
The family would like to thank the Essentia Hospice Care team and the staff at Essentia Health Cancer Center for their care and support of Bob.
A Visitation will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, April 17, 2025, at Cathedral of Christ the King Catholic Church, 1111 Belknap Avenue in Superior, and will continue until the Memorial Service at 11:00 AM, with Rev. Fr. Andrew Ricci officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Superior.
In lieu of flowers donations in Bob's honor may be made to Cathedral School, 1419 Baxter Ave, Superior, WI 54880 or Cathedral of Christ the King Church, 1410 Baxter Ave, Superior.
