Robert Fahrner Obituary
Robert Allan Fahrner was born on July 11, 1956, in Joliet, IL. On October 21, 2025, at the age of 69, Rob passed away peacefully in Wilmington, IL.
Rob is survived by his siblings, sister, Mary K. (Ronald) Ausec and brother, Daniel (Jane) Fahrner. Also surviving are his nieces and nephews, Alison, David, Jennifer, Callie, Meggie, Patrick (Nikki), Brian (Maggie), and Kevin. Numerous cousins and dear friends also survive.
Preceded in death by his parents, Dr. Francis R. (Alyce) Fahrner; brother Craig J. Fahrner and numerous aunts and uncles.
Rob attended St. Raymond Cathedral and Joliet Catholic High School. He furthered his education by attending Regis College.
He worked at many jobs, most notably as a bookkeeper at Polley's Garage and Tyus Insurance Company. He was also a member of the Moose Lodge.
He loved spending time at his uncle's resort on the beautiful Eau Claire chain of lakes, on Lake Robinson, where he had many good times with family and friends.
Memorial service for Robert will be held at Farkas Funeral Home, 3201 W Jefferson St. Joliet, IL 60431 on Monday, October 27, 2025, at 11:00am. Visitation will be held from 10am until time of service. Per Robert's wishes, cremation rites have been accorded. Inurnment to be held at Resurrection Cemetery, Romeoville. In lieu of flowers, donations to Lightways Hospice in Robert's name would be appreciated.
