Robert Faure Obituary

Robert J. Faure, 88, of Cecil, passed away peacefully Friday, March 8, 2024, with family by his side, in the Donnell House. Born November 15, 1935, he was a son of the late Marie and Henry Faure. He was the beloved husband of the late Olive Turk Faure, who was the love of his life; loving father of Constance (Fred) Dalbo, Robert John (Valerie Findley) Faure Jr., Andrew (Tammy) Faure, and Anna Marie (Jeff) Taylor; cherished Pappy of Sloan (Robert), Mason, Lauren (Anthony), Reagan (Travis) Gunner, Hannah and Hayden; and great- grandfather of Tessa and Laney; dear brother of the late Regis Faure, Norman Faure, Louis Jean Stutts and Raymond Faure; he is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Robert loved yard work, cutting grass and tinkering in his shed. He proudly served in the United States Marine Corps from 1953-1956, earning the National Defense Service Medal, Korean Service Medal, United Nations Service Medal, Navy Occupational Medal and Good Conduct Medal. One of his fondest memories was carrying the cake for the Marine Corps birthday during his service. Following his service, he worked at Mellon Stuart as a labor foreman and was a member of Local #373 for over 60 years. If you made it to his book of record, his calendar, you knew you were family and you will miss the yearly call, whether it was for your birthday, anniversary or divorce. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. At his request, all services will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Donnell House, 10 Leet Street, Washington, PA 15301; or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at www.stjude.org The family would like to extend a Thank You to the caregivers at Concordia Hospice and the Donnell House for all the care they provided to the family

Uncle Bob was such a wonderful man. All the Turk kids have so many great memories of him. His kind heart, funny sense of humor and he was always willing to help others. He was so smart too. We only made it back to Chicago each year we visited because your dad offered to fix our station wagon each time it broke down when we arrived there. May he rest in peace now with the Lord and be reunited with all of his loved ones that have gone before him. He will be missed but know that he lives on within each one of his kids and grandkids. So deeply sorry for your loss.

I unfortunately never met Robert. I have only talk to Robert "Dad" over the phone. He seemed like a very funny, happy go lucky man.
I do wish I would have met him in person because to raise a caring woman and daughter, like Anna, he must have been a wonderful man to be around!
My condolences and prayers go out to the Faure family!
In time the pain you all feel will ease and always know he is in a better place now with Our Lord Jesus Christ.
