Robert Ferron Obituary

Bob entered his eternal rest on Monday afternoon; fittingly, with his best friend Dave at his side. Bob and Dave have been friends since they were about 10 years old. Many good times were had between these two East High Red Devils. They stood with each other through the good and the bad – a testament to what friendship should be.

Bob was the oldest son of William E. and Evelyn L. (Process) Ferron.

Bob attended Cathedral Elementary School and was a 1962 graduate of East Green Bay High School. After graduation, Bob entered the United States Air Force and was stationed between Air Force bases in Michigan and Illinois. He had very fond memories of his time in the Air Force and enjoyed his mechanical duties while working on the planes. After serving his country for four years, he was honorably discharged in 1966. Bob then began to work for the Shopko Corporation in stores and warehouses. Bob was also married for a short time in the late 1960s; that union was amicably dissolved by the end of the 70s. During that time, Bob began to work for the Proctor and Gamble Corporation. That is where he remained employed for the rest of his working career, finally retiring around 1996. After Bob’s retirement, he enjoyed short travels around the country. Las Vegas; Laughlin, Texas; the Black Hills; Fort Meyers; and Graceland Mansion in Memphis were favorite places to stop and visit. Bob was known to break out into his Elvis or Johnny Cash impersonation to entertain a crowd. Bob was an avid sports fan and was a great “Monday Morning Quarterback”. He enjoyed attending Packer and Brewer games when he was able, and always had a game on in the house. He was also an avid coin collector and had more than a few notable unique coins. He enjoyed a good game of cards and frequently played with his Mom and Sister back in the day.

Bob had a very strong Catholic Faith and was blessed to have a wonderful family through the Prince of Peace Parish in Bellevue. He believed that if you could get out of bed you should make it to mass on Sunday.

Bob is survived by his Daughter Tammy (Tom) Stoffel of De Pere and Granddaughters Allison, Madison, and Claire, also of De Pere.

Bob was preceded in Death by his parents William and Evelyn, Sister Shirley Loberger, and Brother Gary.

The Stoffel family would like to take a moment and thank all the people that helped Bob during the time of his declining health:
