Robert J. "Bob" Fields

Robert J. "Bob" Fields, 85 of Findlay passed away on Wednesday, September 18, 2024. He was born in Toledo, Ohio on April 12,1939 to James A. and Elizabeth (Falk) Fields. Bob was a 1957 graduate of Cory-Rawson High School. He married Marlene Powell on May 13, 1958, and she survives along with sons; Thomas (Kathy) Fields of Benton Ridge, Richard (Tammy) Fields of Hudson, FL and a daughter, DeeDee (Dennis) Neiling of Findlay. He is also survived by eight grandchildren: Andy (Mellissa) Fields, Danielle (James) Powell, Valleri (Bruce) Goodman, Dustin (Shannon) Fields, Brett (Michelle) Fields, Kayla (Uvaldo) Sierra, Jared (Suzanne) Neiling, Tyson Neiling and 14 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Michael Fields, brother, James Lynn "Butchie" Fields and a sister, Jacquelyn Fields. Bob was a mechanic and owner of Fields Sunoco Station, Fields Shell Station and eventually, Fields Service. He attended Good Shepherd Church, Benton Ridge. Bob loved sports, coaching midget football and was a member of the football sideline gang for many years. He also enjoyed mowing his yard and boxer dogs, especially his dog, Sport. Visitation will be held on Monday, September 23, 2024, from 3:00 – 7:00 PM at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME. A private family burial will take place later in Clymer Cemetery.
