Robert Allen Fields, 64 of Ripley, passed away Saturday, September 20, 2025 at Charleston Memorial Hospital following an extended illness.
Robert was born March 24, 1961 in Ripley, son of the late Ray and Violet Parsons Fields. He was a 1980 graduate of Ripley High School and retired from Kroger’s with 46 years of service. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding ATV’s and looking for a bargain at auctions. He was a member of the Salt Hill Church. His greatest joy was spending time with family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 32 years, Denise Cunningham Fields and siblings, Shirley Westfall, Karen Wallen-Sisson, Ricky Fields and David Fields.
He is survived by his children, Joshua (Christina) Fields, Caleb (Brittany) Taylor and Hannah (Jeremy) Gibson; siblings, Sharon Easter, Dottie Stephens (John), Patty Hall (Fred) and Mark Fields (Teresa); grandchildren, Ethan (Jane) Rhodes, Angelina Rhodes, Daniel (Olivia) Gibson, Cameron Taylor, Tucker Gibson, Madison Gibson and Baby Asher Allen Fields: mother-in-law, Dottie Cunningham; sisters-in-law Nina Fields and Connie Fields and brother-in-law, Denver Sisson. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews
Funeral Service will be 1:00 pm Thursday, September 25, 2025 at the Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley, with Pastor Steve Raines officiating. Burial will be in the Pine Hill Cemetery, Ripley. Friends may call from 11:00 am until the time of service at the funeral home.
