Robert William Fields

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Robert W. Fields, age 65, a loving father, brother, son, uncle, and friend. Robert was born on June 29, 1960, and passed away suddenly on February 6, 2026.

Robert's most memorable trait was his limitless passion for others. Whether he was performing in a band, coaching soccer, chaperoning school field trips, or simply spending time with his loved ones, Rob approached life with unrivaled enthusiasm.

Rob excelled in all his pursuits. He was his company's top waterproofing salesman for many years, coached youth soccer teams to multiple championships, performed for thousands in his early career as a professional bass player, and proudly defeated throat cancer.

He is survived by his sons Robbie, Michael, and Jake; sisters Laura Akbar and Michelle Carpenter; brothers David Fields and Chris McKean; stepmother Billie Fields; nieces Sophia Akbar and Ashleigh Butler; and nephews Chase Fields, Garrett Butler, and Connor McKean.

We extend our condolences and support to his many friends and loved ones. Rob will be deeply missed and never forgotten

Services will be held at Cathedral of St. Thomas More, 3901 Cathedral Lane, Arlington VA, at 11:30 on Monday, February 16th, followed by the burial at Columbia Gardens Cemetery, 3411 Arlington Blvd, Arlington VA, at 1:00
