Robert D. Floyd

Robert Duane Floyd, 89, died peacefully March 5th, 2026 surrounded by family and friends and the caring staff at the Greenway Manor where he lived the last two weeks of his life after a fall at his home.

Bob was born in Portland, OR, on October 2, 1936. He enjoyed his Army experience before settling in Arizona in 1963 and retiring there after a long career with Allstate. After retiring he enjoyed golfing and volunteering for the Red Cross and traveling.

He is survived by his children: Brenda (Doug) Swenson of Walla Walla, WA, Barbra-Jean Skalleberg of Cumming, GA, Bobbi-Jo Floyd (Jeff Hancock) of Richland, WA and Brook (Brittney) Floyd of Fort Wayne, IN, and his former wife Barbara Wheeler Floyd of Phoenix, AZ., 10 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, sisters Carol Palomino and Twyla in California, 3 nephews, 4 nieces and many friends across the country.

A Service of Remembrance will be at 9:30 a.m. on March 27, 2026 at Desert Hills Mortuary and Cemetery, Scottsdale, AZ.

Private Interment will be at a later date at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Hospice of the Valley or Foster Care or an agency that help the Blind, would be much appreciated.
