Robert Flubacher Obituary

Published by Cavanagh Family Funeral Homes, Inc. & Private Crematory - Norwood on May 14, 2018.
Robert J. Flubacher Sr. passed away on May 14th, 2018 at Crozer Hospital. Bob was born on May 5th 1933 in Philadelphia, PA. He graduated from Bartram High School in 1952. He met his wife Joyce in 1953 and they later married in 1955. Together they raised their 2 children Donna & Rob. He worked most of his life as a refinery worker for Sun Oil. After retirement, Bob drove for community transit for 15 years. Bob was a long time member of Southwestern Presbyterian Church for 51 years where he served as deacon, trustee and elder. He then joined Belmont Baptist Church in 2004 where he served up until his passing. Bob donated a lot of his time to helping around the church while his wife Joyce worked as church secretary. He enjoyed baseball and was an avid Phillies fan. Bob also enjoyed spending his time with his grandchildren and great grand-children. He was a big kid himself so it made him feel quite at home. He is pre-deceased by his daughter Donna. He is survived by his wife Joyce, his son Rob, his sister Barbara, his grandchildren: David, Allysa, Matthew, Chris, Cody, Ethan, Destiny, Tyler, & Rebecca, his great-grandchildren Jaylynn, Zachary, Bentlee, Colton, & Hunter. He is also survived by the many adopted grandchildren who had the honor of calling him Pop-Pop. Nothing is impossible for two when one of them is Jesus. Services will be held on Friday May 18th at New Hope Christian Church at 551 Paxon Hollow Rd. Broomall, PA 19008. Viewing from 8am-10:45am. Service at 11am. Burial to be followed at Edgewood Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be sent to New Hope Christian Church.
