Robert William Foell

Robert William Foell (Bob), age 95, of Hawley passed away surrounded by his family on Monday, July 29, 2024 at Wayne Memorial Hospital, Honesdale.
Born May 7, 1929, in Astoria, NY, he was the son of the late Charles G. and Louise (Yeagar) Foell. Bob was a 1948 graduate of Hawley High School. Bob and his family moved from Jackson Heights, NY to Hawley, PA. His senior year of high school, he met the love of his life, Jean (Welsh) Foell. They were married June 17, 1950 and raised three children, Robert (Bobby), Janice and Donna.
Bob was employed by Pennsylvania Power and Light Company for 41 years. After retiring in 1991, Bob and Jean spent winters in Lake Worth, FL.
Bob was predeceased by Jean, his wife of 71 years, his son Bobby, and a brother Charles Foell. He is survived by two daughters, Janice Edwards of Lords Valley, PA and Donna Stock of Vero Beach, FL.
Bob was devout Christian and lived out his faith every day. He is now with his Lord and Savior. Bob was a member of Wallenpaupack Church.
Bob's family would like to thank Kathy for her devotion and care of their father, as well as his neighbors and members of the daily tea time group for their friendship.
Calling hours will be Thursday, August 8, from 1 to 3 PM at Teeters' Funeral Chapel, Inc., 505 Church St, Hawley, PA. The memorial service will follow at 3 PM at the funeral home with Rev. Ken Platt of Wallenpaupack Church officiating. Inurnment will be immediately following the memorial service at Glen Dyberry Cemetery, Honesdale.
