Robert Wayne Fowler passed away peacefully on November 22, 2025, at River Crossing Assisted Living Facility, Charlestown, IN. He was born on November 28, 1950, in Louisville, KY. He was a Baptist by faith and attended Clifton Baptist Church in Louisville during his youth.
Robert was a proud graduate of Westport High School and furthered his education at JCC and the University of Louisville. He was an individual with a gentle spirit and those who knew him admired his kindness. As a loving husband, father, and grandfather, Robert especially cherished the time he spent with his family.
For many years, Robert worked alongside his devoted wife, June Fowler, as caregivers for Archer Services. They dedicated their time to caring for those that were unable to care for themselves. Their partnership was one of mutual respect and love, built on the foundations of shared values and support for one another.
In his leisure time, Robert enjoyed fishing, spending time with his pets through the years, rockin’ to his music, the thrill of gambling at the casino, all things related to the U of L Cardinals. GO CARDS!
Robert is survived by his loving daughter, Sherry Fowler; his granddaughter, Amillia Fowler; and his grandson Cameron Burchfield. Robert is also fondly remembered by his brother, David (Lynn) Fowler; his sister, Cheryl (Bob) Schaefer; and his sister-in-law, Annette Fowler.
He was preceded in death by his wife, June Fowler; his mother, Christine Fowler; his father, Evans Fowler, and his brother, Michael Fowler, all who remain forever in the hearts of those who loved them.
Robert’s life will be celebrated during a Memorial Gathering at Newcomer Funeral Home-Southern Indiana in New Albany, IN. on December 11, 2025, from 3 to 5 pm followed by a Celebration of Life at 5 pm. Friends and family are invited to join in honoring Robert’s life.
