Robert Foxx Obituary
Robert Lee Foxx, Shawnee resident, passed away on Saturday, June 17, 2023 in Oklahoma City, at the age of 79. Robert was born on February 10, 1944, in Seminole, Oklahoma to Andrew Foxx and Doretha Vivian Foxx. Robert graduated from Pleasant Grove High School. He married Johnnie Mae Sneed on November 7, 1961.
Robert was employed by Atlantic Richfield Oil Company (ARCO), Church's Chicken, and the Central Oklahoma Juvenile Center. He was a devout believer and follower of Jesus Christ. Robert was a member of First Baptist Church, Seminole, where he served faithfully as a deacon and Sunday School department leader.
Robert is survived by his wife of nine years, Robbie Foxx; two daughters, Donna Woodfork and Deborah Stewart (Ed); stepdaughter, DiAndrea Kessee (Lee); grandchildren, Jacqueline Woodfork, Kevin Maurice Woodfork (Erika), Eddie Stewart, Jordan Merritt, Kyndal Merritt, and Lauren Kessee; four great grandchildren, Isabella Woodfork, Kevin Maurice Workfork III, Esaias Solomon Woodfork, and Jackson Campillo; Godchildren, Trilbya Anderson and Anneca Anderson; five sisters, Ollie Webb, Rozetta Winrow, Loretta Young, Ginger Winrow, and Carolyn Winrow; five brothers, Nathaniel Winrow, Roy Winrow, Jr., Randy Winrow, Marvin Foxx, and Melvin Foxx; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents; wife of 47 years, Johnnie Mae Foxx; brothers, Edward Foxx, Randy Foxx, and Stanley Edmond; sister, Vanessa Winrow Washington; nephew, Kenneth
Lee Webb and LaRome Winrow; and niece, Tara Winrow.
Viewing will be 1:00
p.m. – 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 22, 2023 and 8:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. on Friday, June 23, 2023,
at Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole.
Robert's funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 24, 2023 at the First Baptist Church in Seminole, Oklahoma with Pastor Nick Atyia officiating. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
