Robert Frankenhauser Obituary
Mr. Robert Peter Frankenhauser, a resident of Auburndale, passed away at the age of 94 at Spring Lake Rehab in Winter Haven with his wife and a friend by his side. Mr. Frankenhauser was born in North Dakota to Frank and Elizabeth (Scherger) Frankenhauser. Mr. Frankenhauser retired from the State of North Dakota Highway Department after 43 years. Mr. Frankenhauser was a United States Army Veteran where he served 2 years during the Korean Conflict. Robert enjoyed fishing, watching sports, playing cards, traveling, helping others and loved spending time with his family. Robert was preceded in death by his parents; 5 brothers and 4 sisters. Robert is survived by his loving family, wife of 66 years – Doreen Frankenhauser; 1 son and daughter in law; 1 daughter and son in law; 2 grandsons and their wives; 1 granddaughter and fiancé. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations in Mr. Robert Peter Frankenhauser's name to either; The Shriner's Children's Hospital or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. A memorial mass with military honors will be held 10:30 A.M. on Saturday, December 2 at St. Joseph Catholic Chapel, 532 Avenue M, NW, Winter Haven. Inurnment will be at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell at a later date.
