Robert Lee Galloway

Robert Lee Galloway, age 83 years of Knoxville, Tennessee, passed away on a beautiful afternoon, Sunday, March 1, 2026. He was born on March 23, 1942, to Corinne and Alvis Galloway. Robert was an entrepreneur, business owner, farmer, and he participated in tractor pulling motorsports for the thrill of it as a member of the National Tractor Pullers Association. He made friends everywhere he went and stayed in close contact with long-time friends and family. His absence is sorely felt, but his loved ones are grateful he is no longer suffering.

Preceded in death by his parents; brother-in-law, Sam Grove; and cherished daughter, Shara Galloway.

Survived by his wife of umpteenth years, Cherry Galloway; his brother and sister-in-law, Ancel and Mary Galloway; Uncle Bill Lyke; special niece, Dawn Spangler; and many extended relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends 4 PM - 6 PM on Sunday, March 8, 2026, at Bridges Funeral Home followed by a funeral service at 6 PM with Pastor Richard Pate officiating. Family and friends will meet at 1 PM on Monday, March 9, 2026, at Bridges Funeral Home and join in a procession to Asbury Cemetery for a 2 PM interment.

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your charity of choice in Robert's memory.

Pallbearers will be John Perkins, Andrew Cox, Chris Mayes, Denny Gann, David Henderson, Roy Gray, Roy Berrier, and Larry Leach. A special thank you to Richard Pate for everything that he has done.
