A man of God. A man of honor and integrity. A man who was proud of his family. A man who loved and was loved. Bob, you will be missed. Grateful to have known you and grateful for the promise that we´ll see you again.
Heartfelt condolences to the family and loved ones.

I met Bob in the summer of 1982 when our church was located on Longview Drive (now the end of the Prince William Parkway). I had just accepted the Session's invitation to become a Counter of the church's tithes and offerings and was paired with Bob who "taught me everything I know about counting," He was gracious, understanding teacher who had the patience of Job. It was many years later that I discovered he was a retired Army Major General. He gently remined me that engineers (which I studied in college) can do math but counting tithes and offerings was accounting which is a totally different field of endeavor. Later in the year I also counted with Bob Parker who was a Woodbridge Senior High School math teacher and he whole heartedly seconded General Gaskill's admonition!
