Robert F. Gaunce

Robert F. Gaunce, 83, Indianapolis, passed away February 14, 2011. He was born in Boggstown on March 2, 1927, the son of Herman and Helen (Young) Gaunce. Robert served in the United States Coast Guard and the United States Marines, and retired from the Department of the Army, where he was employed at Ft. Benjamin Harrison, in 1985. He was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Anderson. Robert is survived by his wife, Janice (Foster) Gaunce; sons, Michael (Citlalli), Santa Clara, CA, Tim, Indianapolis, and Andy (Stephanie), Indianapolis; two grandchildren, Nora and Ellis; and a brother, Jim, Pauline, SC. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Virginia and Peggy, and a brother, John. Services will be held on Saturday, February 19, 2011 at 2 PM at Legacy Funeral Center at Memorial Park, 9350 E. Washington Street. Visitation will be on Friday, February 18 from 4-8 PM at the funeral center. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery, with military honors.
