Robert Gehringer Obituary
Robert Peter Gehringer (Bob), 89, passed away on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at Savannah Cottage of Lakeland.
He was born May,2, 1936, in Detroit, Michigan. Son of the late Sebastian and Harriett Gehringer.
Robert was married to Roseann Heisler, and she passed away in 2016.
He attended St Teresa High School and received certification from Eastern Michigan University School of Staff and Command for fire services.
Robert named Firefighter of the Year as well as other honors within the Fire Department, Retired as Fire Inspector.
He was Past Commander of American Legion Post 4 in Lakeland Florida and a Member of the Knights of Columbus, Polish Legion of American Veterans, International Association of Firefighters.
Robert was an avid fan of University of Michigan football, The Detroit Tigers, and Detroit Lions.
He is survived by sons, Robert (Suzanne) Gehringer of Cordova TN, James (Sandy) Gehringer of Saulsbury TN, Lawrence of Orlando and the late Douglas Gehringer; daughter, Kathleen Gehringer and his many grandchildren.
