Robert Cary Golec, 77, of Troy, IL, born Saturday, June 7, 1947, in East St. Louis, Il and passed away at his home on Saturday, November 2, 2024.
Robert was a member of St. Jerome Catholic Church in Troy, IL. He owned and operated Robert Jordan and associates in Troy, IL for many years. In retirement he enjoyed his many DYI home improvement projects. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family especially his three grandsons.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Anthony and Josephine (nee Musnock) Golec.
Surviving is his wife, Judy (Matzka) Golec whom he married December 1, 1967, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in East St. Louis, IL; his daughter, Carrie (Todd) Stonewater of Glen Carbon, IL; and his three grandsons, Benjamin, Henry and Jackson Stonewater.
Memorials may be made to St. Jerome Catholic Church, Troy, IL. Online expressions of sympathy may be made at www.Richesonfh.com
Visitation for Robert will be 9 to 10 am on Friday, November 8, 2024, at St. Jerome Catholic Church, Troy, IL.
Funeral Mass will be held 10 am on Friday, November 8, at St. Jerome Catholic Church, Troy, IL with Fr. Kevin Laughery officiating. Interment will follow at St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Troy, IL.
