Gone far to soon. I had the opportunity to meet Rob while I was based in Denver. Very nice guy to sit in the terminal and chat with

Rob was a Skywest favorite. He touched so many pilots' lives. I have known Rob from my first days at Skywest in TUS. You always knew Rob would have your back. My heart broke when I heard the news of his passing. Still breaks. Loved seeing him around. Im going to miss him so much.

I Just wanted to offer my sincere condolences to the Graser family and to say that Rob was a highly respected and well liked Chief Pilot and coworker to all. I remember sitting in his office a few times over the years when he was the Denver Chief Pilot and then Director of Standards listening to him talk about his family or a recent motorcycle ride that he had gone on. He cared deeply about the people who worked under him but even more so his family. He worked hard to help get the flight operations and standards department where it is at today but also I´m sure he worked even harder for his family! May Rob Rest In Peace and I hope the Graser family can take peace and comfort in looking back on some wonderful memories with Rob as not just a great SkyWest employee but a husband and father also. Gods speed Rob! We´ve got it from here sir.

Our hearts go out to Laura, Mitch , Will, and the whole family. The loss and sadness we feel can be only a fraction of the pain and loss you feel. Rob was the best of the best, as a friend and a boss. We were deeply saddened to hear of his passing and will never forget how he touched our lives.
He was the first Chief Pilot I knew, and I was scared to death when I had to go see him for my probationary review. Within minutes in his office, all fear set aside, he had me laughing and relaxed. He had a way of being all business when it was called for, but all friend and mentor always. He had our backs, and we had his. His deep care for others was always evident and appreciated, and a great model for us all! How we move on from such a loss is not known, but I know he would tell us "keep going, and never take it out on others, they're doing their best".
Rob was an amazing leader and friend, inspiring everyone to do their best and treat others with respect. He led by example with a big heart, and will live on in so many of us here.

"But since it fell into my lot
That I should rise and you should not
I'll gently rise and softly call
Good night and joy be to you all"

Good night Rob, rest in peace. We'll do our best.

The words do not come to me express my deepest sympathy for the Graser family. Truly the best chief pilot I have ever had, who kept me out of trouble and cared about me, my family and my career. It is an understatement to say that he will be missed.

I was so saddened to hear of Rob´s sudden passing. I first flew with Rob as a new first officer when PDX first opened in 1998. He was welcoming and we had a great time flying together. Our paths would cross every so often over the last 23 years, and I always enjoyed catching up and talking about the good old Brasilia days. I know it´s little comfort at this time, but I want Rob´s family to know how much he was liked, admired, and respected by his fellow pilots. Even after he went into management, he was a guy that line pilots could count on to have their back. That means a lot. He will be sorely missed by this pilot group.

The loss of Rob came many decades too soon. I can only offer Laura, Mitch and Will my deepest sympathy and the promise that we will see him again.

Rob and I met in CRJ transition class in January 2003. We then helped start up the Tucson base, he as a Captain and me as First Officer. In fact, I took the above photo of Rob during our first month of flying together. Rob was a joy to fly with and the best "Boss" to work for. He was always there to chew my butt when needed, as it frequently was, but he always motivated me to want to do better. His mentoring made me a much better pilot and Captain. I can´t thank Rob enough for all he did for me. Thinking of him will always put a smile on my face and gratitude in my heart. God speed Rob.

I met Rob in Tucson in 2005. He was definitely a pilots pilot. He was Kind, considerate , had a good sense of humor and was a great aviator. I enjoyed chatting it up with him years later when i ended up in Denver and would have down time in between flights. Always a tailwind now. Rest In Peace Rob.
