Robert "Bob" Grayson

Bob Grayson, 79, of East Meadow, formerly of Hicksville, passed away surrounded by his loved ones.

Born and raised in Hicksville, Bob proudly served his country as a United States Marine, enlisting in 1965 and completing three tours in Vietnam. His service took him to Da Nang, Phu Bai, Quang Tri and Dong Hai - places that shaped his strength, discipline, and deep sense of loyalty.

After returning home, Bob dedicated his life to his work as an electrician. Known for his intelligence and incredible problem-solving skills, he could figure out any electrical issue and loved helping others. Whether for work or for friends, Bob was always ready to lend a hand in a moments notice.

Bob is survived by his lovely wife, Cathy Grayson with whom he shared 31 years of life and adventure and 29.5 years of marriage. He was predeceased by Henry and Josephine Grayson and his younger brother Andrew Grayson. He is also survived by his siblings Diane Pullaro, Joanne McGovern, William Grayson, Lorraine Foosaner, and Pamela Nostrand, as well as a niece, many nephews and friends who cherished him deeply.

Bob had a passion for motorcycles and adventure. After marrying Cathy, he taught her how to ride, and together they traveled across states, always searching for their next great trip. One of Bob's favorite journeys was a southern road trip in search of the best BBQ - a trip filled with laughter, good food, and stories they would retell for years.

Bob also enjoyed trying his luck with scratch tickets and slot machines, famously hitting the Major Jackpot five times and always playing penny slots with the lowest bets.

Above all, Bob will be remembered for his kindness, humor, and gratitude. Bobby's family and friends will forever cherish his generosity, his adventurous spirit, and the warmth he brought every moment.
