Robert "Bobby" Benjamin Green, age 71, of Hilliard, Florida, passed away peacefully at his home on Aug. 21, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on Oct. 4, 1953, in Lumberton, North Carolina, to the late Charles Green and Doris Porter Green.
Throughout his career, Bobby worked both as a builder and a banker, professions that reflected his strong work ethic and versatility. After retirement, Bobby spent several years building a dream home alongside his wife, Robin. Bobby was a man of deep generosity and great strength. He was known for always giving. Bobby was an avid gardener who took pride in sharing his knowledge of growing and harvesting vegetables.
Bobby fought like no other because of his love for his family. Bobby was a beloved son, husband, father, brother, and granddad. His greatest joy came from the time he spent with his loved ones. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew and loved him. Bobby was preceded in death by his parents and stepson, Ronald Dorsett.
Bobby is survived by his wife, Robin Green; daughters, Amber (Randy) Thomas, Ashley (Jeremy) Reynolds, and Sharlee (Katy) Green English; grandchildren, Nathan, Hailey, Macey, Jacob, and Caleb; and brother, Nolan (Scarlett) Green.
A celebration of Bobby's life was held on Tuesday, Aug. 26, 2025, at 11 a.m. at River Road Baptist Church with Dr. Benji Loyd officiating. Interment will follow in River Road Baptist Church Cemetery. The family received friends Monday, Aug. 25, 2025, from 5-7 p.m. at the church.
