Robert Griffin Obituary
Born on August 10, 1939, in Gainesville Georgia, he was a son of the late Cary Thurston Griffin and Evelyn Garrison Griffin. Lamb was retired from Mt. Vernon Mills and was a member of New Haven Church. Lamb was very faithful to attend church. From April 1995 until March 2020 he had perfect attendance attending a church service every Sunday morning during that span. Lamb served on the Lula City Council for over 25 years.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother and sister-in-law, Dan and Thelma Griffin; and sister and brother-in-law, Hilda and Billy Mealor.
Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Bobby and Sheila Griffin of Lula; grandsons and spouses, Mitch and Katie Griffin of Martin, and Ryan and Allison Griffin of Homer; great grandchildren, Gage Griffin, Rylan Griffin, Hayden Griffin, and Graylen Griffin; brother and sister-in-law, Dwight and Karen Griffin of Lula; several nieces and nephews, numerous other relatives, and many friends.
Funeral services are 2 pm on Saturday, September 7, 2024, at Antioch Holiness Church, with Rev. Bobby Griffin and grandson, Mitch Griffin officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm on Friday, September 6, 2024, at the funeral home, and from 12 noon until the service hour on Saturday, September 7, 2024, at Antioch Holiness Church.
