Robert Legare Grimball, Jr., 65, of Charleston, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest on Friday, December 12, 2025. His Funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 27, 2025 in the St. John’s Episcopal Church, at 1:00 pm. Burial will follow in the St. John’s Episcopal Churchyard. Arrangements are entrusted to J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., West Ashley Chapel.
Robert was born on May 28, 1960, in Charleston, South Carolina, the son of the late Robert Legare Grimball, Sr., and Terrina Angelina Balzano. He was affectionately known in his younger years as "Butch", and "Bob" in his later years. He was the proud owner of Grimball and Sons Plumbing and was known for his strong work ethic, generous spirit, and kind heart. Robert never met a stranger-he was everyone’s friend.
He is survived by his sons, Daniel Justen Grimball, Jr., and Robin Hood Grimball; his former wife, Nance Charlebois; his stepchildren, Bryan Joseph Charlebois and Ashley Michelle Dowling (Matthew); and his many beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
In lieu of flowers, memorials ma be made to the American Diabetes Association.
