My first conversation w/ Bob was when I stopped by Trask Middle School to introduce myself. He was to be our new principal that year. I wanted him to know about the reading program we were going to be using for our special ed students that year and make sure he was on board. His response was if its good enough for our special ed students then why aren't we using it for all of our students who are behind. Low and behold we had 304 students enrolled for the next couple of years with great success. Reading held dear place in his heart which he shared with all.

You were my Teacher,Track Coach, and before you retired we became co workers.Thank You for being that Teacher,Coach, and Co worker I will love and never forget. Thank you for all the many lessons you've taught me,and also leading and guiding me to have a love for Reading. I will truly miss you. Although you was man with few words the life you've lived and the beliefs that you stand on made a huge impact on Brunswick County Schools.May God continue to wrap his arms around your family and comfort them in this time of bereavement.
