Robert "Bobby" Groszer, 72, of
Delray Beach, Florida, passed away on September 22, 2025. His lifelong partner of 32 years, Frances Mulla, lovingly cared for him until his last breath. Bobby was born on March 13, 1953, in Baltimore, Maryland, to James Groszer and Marilyn Englar, both of whom predeceased him. Bobby will be greatly missed and forever remembered by his siblings, James Groszer, Victoria Greenstreet, George P. Tenley, and Christine Tenley, as well as his stepfather, George B. Tenley. Bobby was a passionate singer, composer, and piano player who dedicated his entire life to pursuing his passion for music. Bobby and Frani traveled the world together, bringing musical joy to their audiences in countries as far away as Japan, before they settled in Delray Beach, where they continued to bring that same joy to the communities of South Florida for decades. Highlights of Bobby's lifelong musical career include: Sly & The Family Stone, The New Sensation, Martha Reeves, The Ink Spots, Nester Torres, Mark & Clark, Kenny Martel, Little Anthony, The Bobby Rodriguez Big Band, Jazzberry Patch, Groove Thangs, and others. Bobby also opened for acts such as Dizzy Gillespie, Buddy Rich, Blood Sweat & Tears, The Ohio Players, War, Victor Borga, Linda Hopkins (at the Waldorf Astoria for the Queen of Denmark), and several others throughout his career. Numerous recording artists sought Bobby out for his songwriting, singing, producing, creative playing, and musical arrangement abilities. Bobby was honored by being voted Best Keyboard Player in Baltimore, Maryland, by Starliegh Enterprises. While living in Florida, he wrote and co-produced musical scores for Harold & Maude, at the Ruth Forman Theatre / Barry University. Bobby wrote and co-produced musical scores for the Serenity Travelers, a theatre company, and composed several video projects for promotional use, such as: Statue of Liberty, Co-Producer, Funded by Post/Newsweek / Aired on WPLG TV 10 Miami, and CNN Showbiz Today / Miami Dolphins, Co-Producer. Funded by WSVN TV 7(NBC) / Aired on WSVN TV, Miami, and ESPN / Boating in South Florida, Musical Director (Cable TV Show). Bobby co-wrote a song that was played at halftime by ESPN during the 1986 Super Bowl / Dolphins & San Francisco 49ers. Internationally, Bobby spent several years working in Japan with Heart & Soul Duo. The Japanese loved his unique style as a singer, entertainer, and musician, especially when he played the guitarleft-handed and upside down during the show. They had never seen anything like it! Bobby and Frani were so beloved that they were invited back year after year to perform in Japan. While back home in Florida, Bobby continued to thrill audiences wherever he performed. Bobby had a lifelong love of baseball and football and enjoyed rooting for his favorites-the Baltimore Orioles, the Baltimore Ravens, and the Florida Marlins. Bobby was an eternal optimist, and he will be cherished for his ability to see the silver lining in every cloud and the good in every person, no matter what. A memorial service will be held to honor Bobby's life on September 25, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Beth Israel Memorial Chapel, located at 5808 Atlantic Avenue,
