I´m not sure where to start this message...I will always consider Robert one of the biggest mentors of my life and the success that I have made in life. He taught me and so many others that hard work, dedication and integrity pays off in the long run. He was a soldiers soldier. He was also no stranger to war and was highly decorated. He gave his 100% and expected us to give the same and always led by example. His platoon, (3rd platoon, C 1/325 air, 82nd Airborne Div) was always regarded as one of the finest in the Division. He taught us to be paratroopers and wear the beret proudly. His passing is a huge blow to us and we will miss him terribly. We love you " Gunny" and we are so honored to have known and served with you. I hope we get to meet again someday. The US Army lost one one of its finest....
